Meeting activities will include:
Welcome Reception
Join us in our Hospitality Room for an informal Friday evening reception hosted by the Ozarks Chapter with beverages, hors d’oeuvres and then some, and plenty of socializing. The hospitality room will also be open Saturday evening after the banquet for dessert and more socializing.
Presentations and Exhibits
Speaking and poster presentations about a variety of archaeological topics will be given Saturday.
Attendees and chapters are encouraged to bring artifact displays and exhibits. Exhibit topics might include artifacts, research presentations, posters, etc. Table space is also available at no charge for those who might have books, reproductions, or other archaeology-related items to display or sell (no artifact sales or trades).
Publications and Apparel Sale and Silent Auction
MAS publications and apparel will be available. Other booksellers will also be present.
Books, art, collectibles, and other items will be available at the silent auction. Please contact the MAS office if you would like to donate items for the auction. Donations are tax deductible. Silent Auction proceeds support Missouri Archaeology Month activities such as the poster and Fall Symposium.
Workshop
Do you have artifacts that you have always wanted to know more about?
Bring them to this Saturday-afternoon workshop for identification by professional archaeologists.
Banquet and Koch Lecture
The Saturday banquet dinner will be a choice of mushroom marsala chicken breast ($31) or bistro beef medallions ($43) with a mushroom and bacon ragout. All meals served with house salad, starch, vegetable, hot rolls, dessert, and coffee or iced tea. A vegetarian option will also be available. Banquet ticket cost includes a 24% gratuity added by the venue.
The 2025 Koch Lecturer is Dr. David Benn who will present Geoglyph Cosmograms in Native American Mythology of the Northern Plains. You do not have to purchase a banquet ticket in order to attend this presentation. We will also have door prizes to give away at the banquet.

Venue: Oasis Hotel and Conference Center
The Oasis Hotel and Convention Center amenities include an indoor swimming pool, fitness room, and onsite restaurant and bar. Room amenities include flat-screen TVs, cable, and wi-fi.
Special MAS group rates will be $114/night, plus tax. This rate includes a hot breakfast buffet.
To make your room reservations at this special rate in the MAS block, please call the front desk at 417-866-5253 and ask for the MO Archaeological Society room block. Make sure you speak with the front desk staff and not the reservation call center because they do not have access to group rates. Rooms may also be booked online at https://www.choicehotels.com/reservations/groups/WR21V2. A block of 50 rooms will be held for our attendees at the reduced rate until February 21. Availability beyond that room block may be limited.
