Pages 2 and 3 must be completed and signed. Once completed, please return via email or mail to MAS, 901 S. National Ave, Springfield, MO 65897.

Once your registration is received, you will be notified as to your enrollment status and further details will be provided. Applicants will also be required to register as a State Park volunteer. Information on how to register as a volunteer will be provided once your registration is received. Because we are working in a state park, the state of Missouri will also require that the applicant pass a light background check.

The program is free and open to those 12 years of age and older, no prior archaeological experience is necessary. Please note that the program is limited to 15 participants per session and the openings will be filled on a first-come basis so be sure to return quickly to ensure you get a spot!

This Park is in a remote area in Oregon County in southeast Missouri. The closest town is Alton (15 miles), which has a grocery store, convenience stores, and a few restaurants. Participants will have the option to stay at the Park in their own tent or RV/Camper (no hookups) or they may stay in an historic, unrestored stone house or an older bunkhouse onsite. These rustic lodging options are provided at no charge.
